Martin J. Keenan was born in Great Bend, Kansas, on August 25, 1960. He is a graduate of Great Bend High School, and received a B.A. from the University of Kansas (B.A. with honors, with distinction 1982). Martin received his law degree from the University of Kansas (J.D. 1985). Martin is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and has published numerous freelance articles, including "Lincoln's Forgotten Profession," The Journal of the Kansas Bar Association, page 27, April 1989. Marty is a Board Member of the Barton County Arts Council and is a former Board Member of the Kansas Humanities Council. He has served on the Twentieth Judicial District Ethics Committee and as a Board Member of the Southwest Kansas Bar Association. Keenan is a member of the Kansas Association for Justice and the Christian Legal Society. Marty spends most of his time on criminal and civil litigation. Marty is a defense lawyer in criminal cases of all kinds, including felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic cases. He also represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants in civil lawsuits.
